The story behind GIMO Special Education Services & Consulting is very inspiring. GIMO (pronounced GEE MO) was born when the CEO and Founder challenged herself to provide quality services in special education programming. Quality services to work with organizations, families, and churches that provide services and support to students with disabilities. In December 2020, she suffered the loss of her father, who encouraged her to believe in herself. As a result, GIMO Special Education Services & Consulting was born.

The acronym GIMO is particularly meaningful, as it reflects the company's core values and objectives. The biblical meaning of "Elizabeth" as "God Is My Oath" speaks to the company's commitment to faith and its reliance on God's guidance in its work. The second part of the acronym, "Growth & Productivity; Interventions & Research based strategies; Maintain Compliance; and Objectives" outlines the key areas that GIMO focuses on in its work with clients.

By promoting growth and productivity, using evidence-based interventions and research, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and prioritizing client objectives, GIMO is well-positioned to provide effective and impactful services to families, schools, and churches supporting students with disabilities.

GIMO provides  services to the following:
